We got a lot of feedback and prepared a huuuge balance/fix patch for you. There are also two new items, one of which is craftable.

New Content

  • ADDED Vampiric Armor (craftable)
  • ADDED Shield of Valor
  • Added a button to show the backpacks after each battle

Fixes

  • Fixed matchmaking in rare cases finding late game opponents in early rounds
  • Fixed Light Sabor consuming Block instead of Blind
  • Blinding Light now uses the correct duration (3s instead of 4s)
  • Fixed Poison Dagger not applying the stacks when triggered by a Stun
  • Stone and Ruby Whelp are now tagged as weapons
  • Fixed tooltips with “Blind” also showing the context hint for “Block”
  • Fixed Flute/Fanfare not visually activating
  • Fixed a visual glitch happening when the player open the shop before the ranking was loaded
  • Improved file handling to deal better with corrupted saves
  • Fixed Spiked Shield triggering too often
  • Fixed tooltips of items still showing the old bag effects
  • Fixed items being hoverable a moment after selling them
  • Restricted effective mouse position to the game window to prevent weirdness
  • Fixed a glitch where an item could be bought after leaving the shop, leading to a crash and broken save file
  • Fixed fanfare-glitter particles looking janky when clicked away too fast in the round before
  • Item progress shader now looks correct for items that face down or left
  • Fixed Ruby Egg hatching early when continuing a run
  • Fixed a problem where the time scale slider could be pressed after the fight ended, setting the whole game speed to weird values
  • Fixed Thornwhip not applying the damage bonus

Balance

  • Light Sabor: Reduced Blinding Light stacks 10 -> 7
  • Hungry Blade: Reduced Vampirism conversion from 2 to 1, now adds 1 Vampirism at the start, -1 damage
  • Bloodthorne: Reduced Vampirism conversion from 3 to 2. Damage reduced to 3-6
  • Demonic Flask: 1.0 damage per debuff -> 0.7 damage per debuff
  • Wooden Sword: max damage +1
  • Hero Sword: max damage +1
  • Spear: max damage +1, now removes 4 Block
  • Pan: max damage +1
  • Dagger/Poison Dagger: max damage +1
  • Storage Coffin: Chance 35% -> 25%
  • Spike Shield: Now gains a spike every 15 Block instead of 10
  • Fanfare: Cooldown 5s -> 3s
  • Flute: now randomly gives 10 Block, 2 stamina, or 2 Lucky
  • Bow and Arrow: Cooldown 4s -> 3.5s
  • Rib Saw Blade: stamina cost 2 -> 1.5
  • Thorn Whip: now gains +1 Spike on Crit
  • Garlic: Block 5 -> 4
  • Holy Armor: Poison cleanse cooldown 3s -> 2s
  • Fly Agaric: Gold cost 2 -> 3

Other

  • Many tooltip improvements! Texts are more consistent, show less redundant information, highlighting and layouting are better, they highlight trigger conditions now ...
  • “Affected” stars now show in slots that are outside the backpack area
  • Items now show the slots they would use on tiles outside the backpack area
  • Items now show their size and stars (what slots they affect) when hovered in shop
  • Ranking now loads much faster!
  • Item overlap order in shop is now much nicer (bottom is in front)
  • Added hover tooltip for backpack power
  • Shop music now loops correctly
