HTML5 games are mostly developed for computers. They do not need installing and could be run on a Chromebook which mostly doesn't have games ported for its OS. Try using it on a computer, even the lowest bar usually works* and most people have one lying around. I hope this helps.
*From my personal experience HTML5's only glitch was that the sprites were black.
Don't let the first debuffs you apply be temporary!
If you apply 6 blindness for 5 seconds but those get reflected, you (of course) take 6 blindness, but then after 5s you cleanse 6 blindness from your opponent!
@fucifer, this doesn't feel like a bug per say, but in other games I've seen where it works like this, the debuff is usually applied along side a "remove blindness" buff rather than having the sword acting again in 5s. That makes the interaction when you first encounter it less surprising (though also it makes it possible to steal the buff which maybe you didn't want to happen?)
For those asking, I think the lost progress is because itch was forced to switch servers or something (I recall seeing an announcement about it), not because of anything the devs of the game did
There was a comment asking where our save state is stored and if we could export it. This precise situation is why I wanted to know about it too. There's no point in making progress on the browser version of the game if it just resets.
Same here. My primary laptop is a Mac, so I'm pretty happy there is an HTML5 version to play. Still, it does suck to lose the wardrobe and recipe references I've built up.
I reckon I'll just need to treat the resets every time there is an update as a "new season" lol

Now I figure this may be a massive undertaking so feel no obligation, just suggested it because I accidentally knocked all of my board off and I couldn't remember how I had arranged it. That's definitely a feature to pay for
Bug? Look at Carrot Goobert activation after 3 triggers only. It looks like Carrot Gooberts has a shared trigger counter rather than an individual one.
I understood what was going on.Falcon sword seems to count towards its ability to hasten other objects as a hidden trigger (once at the beginning of the battle).
It ist not about the attackspeed that Falcon Blade gives but istead the effect it has that says it attacks twice. The attacks both count as trigger for the Goobert so it looks like Carrot Goobert only needs 3 trigger.
Patches are really good and I'd agree with all changes but I'm starting to dislike the introduction of some breaking new item that goes along with them, only for these items to be nerfed multiple times in followup patches. Why not introduce these items at... a normal power level? I.e. previously we had say a "meta" of Poison + Shields, then Crossblades, then Tim, just earlier the "stamina dumping" early game 5 second meta, then Carrot Goobers with Faclon Blade & Fatigue builds. And now we enter the depths of despair with the most boring of all metas: early game Blind stacking with Shovels.
It's because without having the feedback of the players the devs don't now what to think of the power level of items so they nerf them if they turn out to be broken

also, i dont know if this takes away too much of the principle behind the game but a feature that allows for selecting more than one item would be nice, like when you want to move only half your board to the bin instead of all.
Will there ever be a "move whole inventory" button? I think there should be one for each direction and every time one presses it, it moves the whole thing in the chosen direction unless there's no more space (in which case, the button itself would be less opaque or otherwise tell the player about its unusablness)
This is one of the best games to come out this year! Is there any chance you would be open to contributions? I'm a writer, and am so inspired by the game you've created. It would be a dream come true to be able to help develop the games writing. I'm not looking for compensation, just the opportunity to help work on something I love.

What do you guys think of this built? Got two triggers on the lamp of my garlics and actually healed over a hundred with one hit of the hungry blade.

QoL suggestion: Add a button so you could drag/rotate the whole container together with the items within. That'd make reorganizing lot less tedious

fwiw you can move the entire container with the items intact via the arrow keys. Not sure if there's a way to rotate it tho

4 gold for a Pot is way to much even for 2 regen. bring the old one back or reduce the cost to 3. I hate it that good items get destroyed.
