Love it, wishlisted it after 1 run because I had alot fun, and I want those other characters soon :) Also I've noticed people in the comments have a problem with the designs. I personally think they are great and that you should design your game as you see fit. :)
Also side note, I know its still early in development, but is there any plans for a solo campaign of sorts or just multiplayer? Just curious.
Unclear if this is a bug, but I'm gaining 7 spikes per shield at the start of combat. Is the start of combat "once" per round even though it's seven spikes?
On a related note: two shields appear to be almost ready to proc again and one just procced. It's not clear to me how they'd ever get out of sync with one another.
This was a very fun demo! My inventory management skills needs a little work lol! I had fun playing this. Might try the ranked option to see what that's about. Good game!
Fun Game, the demo isn't very balanced though. Stacking Poison + Purple potions is OP (super easy to acomplish). The only thing that beats it is insta-kill blind sword + purple potion stacking (though this is harder to pull off).
Also it would be good if you could play beyond 10 wins. Sometimes you feel like you've just gotten your build off the ground and then it ends before you can see it play out.
Does version 0.1.1 have your hotfix? Also, this is maybe not just a matchmaking issue -- 175hp is a lot of max HP, I'm not sure how you could get there unless the game didn't end for @migcreator when it was supposed to.
Overall good game, however i have one problem with it being that poison builds are extremely strong as reaper has most of what you need to just get carried through the early game and since you already have like half the build you can build your build far faster so you are always ahead, along with poison builds quickly building up meaning the only builds that can consistently beat them are fast offensive builds
Your matches aren't necessarily live; you're playing against the build of another player, but not against them in real time. Sometimes you play against a past self, too.
Read "Backpack Battles" in a email, then thought, backback hero auto battler, without looking in to it further, I paid $2. I have a good feeling about this. we will see.
This game is a work of genius. It's a well-made "autobattler" game in the style of Backpack Hero or even Reynad's upcoming game The Bazaar, where smart placement can mean the difference between a win and a loss. The crafting system is very cool, especially when you see a powerful crafted item carrying the opponent to victory, and you wonder how you can craft it. I first found out about the crafting system accidentally, sandwiching two whetstones between two Wooden Swords, crafting my first Hero Sword. It was a mind-blowing moment that turned this game from a pretty good Super Auto Backpack Hero into a true masterpiece.
Sad that i can't install it on steam because there is no way to enable proton compatibility from the store, i need to be able to add it to the library first to play it on linux.
Happy that i can play on web thought ! Keep up the great work <3 !
There's the problem, when clicking the download button it says it's not aviable for Linux
Other games without a Linux build can be added to the game library without downloading, allowing to make them compatible with the system setting Proton On in the settings
This is absolutely fantastic! I spent way too long playing this today! The passives on the bags and the secret item combinations add a lot to the strategy. This feels super polished and I cannot wait to see how this evolves!
Well, this is a pleasant surprise! After Backpack Hero came out there's been a few more devs experimenting with the whole inventory management gimmick, and it's cool to see you guys are taking a stab at it too!

Thank you so much. It's really nice of you to say that <3
We are thinking about it, but not sure yet!

care to explain?
This is an matchmaking issue that we pushed a hotfix for yesterday.
Are you playing on the most recent version?
I still sense a latent negativity in your comments - i hope you are alright buddy!
i'm playing version 0.1.1 and it's still happening.
Does version 0.1.1 have your hotfix?

good game but why is it full of skimpily dressed ladies and furry shopkeepers?
Man, you must be fun to be around...
just asking... also will we eventually have skimpily dressed men?
Now that's a much better question!
Quite possibly, yes
I love this
:)
Def a fantastic game! Really loved the feel of it and can't wait for it to be fully on Steam AND PvP!
is fun and fast played hope to see more
wishlisted ✔
Thank you! :)
What are the crafting combinations? I know of:
Ruby Whelp + Holo Fire Lizard = Ruby Chonk (legendary)
Hero Sword + 2x Whetstone = Hero Longsword (legendary)
Hero Sword + 2x Gloves of Haste = Falcon Blade (legendary)
all four Gooberts = Rainbow Goobert Omegaooze Prime Slime (godly)
Lightsaber + Demonic Flask = Darksaber (godly)
Mana Orb + Hungry Blade = Manathirst (legendary)
Mana Orb + Dagger = Spectral Dagger (legendary)
Mana Orb + Broom = Magic Staff (epic)
Magic Staff + Acorn Collar = Critwood Staff (epic)
Magic Staff + Demonic Flask = Staff of Unhealing (godly)
Goobert + Lightsaber = Light Goobert (godly)
Goobert + Hero Sword = Steel Goobert (legendary)
Goobert + Blood Amulet = Blood Goobert (legendary)
Goobert + Fly Agaric = Poison Goobert (epic)
Thorn Whip + Hungry Blade = Bloodthorne (godly)
Blood Amulet + Gloves of Haste = Vampiric Gloves (godly)
Blood Amulet + Dagger = Bloody Dagger (legendary)
Blood Amulet + Leather Armor = Vampiric Armor (legendary)
Wooden Sword + 2x Whetstone = Hero Sword (epic)
Wooden Buckler + Walrus Tusk = Spiked Shield (rare)
Dagger + Pestilence Flask = Poison Dagger (epic)
Heroic Potion + Banana = Strong Heroic Potion (legendary)
Stone Skin Potion + 2x Stone = Strong Stone Skin Potion (legendary)
Health Potion + 2x Healing Herbs = Strong Health Potion (epic)
Ruby Egg (2 battles in backpack) = Ruby Whelp (godly)
armor potion plus 4 rocks makes better armor potion
gloves and vampiric amulet makes vampiric gloves
It's two stones, not four for the stone skin potion
this is a derivative masterpiece

You play against the builds of real players!
Your matches aren't necessarily live; you're playing against the build of another player, but not against them in real time. Sometimes you play against a past self, too.

i can literally see her boobs
I can confidently say that her breast is not exposed. It seems to me you are not very familiar with the female anatomy.
omg this is ez

She isn't nude! She's wearing light armor for agility.
uuuh, theres alot of skin exposed
She wears much more than Olympic beach volleyball players...

This is annoyingly addictive
is there any way to rotate items
Yup, use right click or mouse wheel while dragging it.
what if i dont have a mouse
im playing this during school on touchpad they dont allow mouse
There now is a rotate hotkey (R).
Keep learning! x)
touchpads usually have tapping with 2 fingers as right click
I love it !

Thank you! We now have a downloadable (windows) build on itch, maybe this also helps?
Final release will also have a linux build :)
